Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, and why.
Last updated: 26 May 2026
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. This policy describes the cookies Vyana uses. In short: we use one strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in, and no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration | Attributes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
vyana_uid | Keeps you signed in to the dashboard by storing your session identifier. | Strictly necessary | 7 days | httpOnly, SameSite=Lax, path / |
What we do not use
We do not set analytics, performance, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not embed third-party trackers. Because the only cookie we set is strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested (signing in), prior opt-in consent is not required under GDPR/ePrivacy or India’s DPDP. We show a brief notice for transparency.
How we remember your notice dismissal
When you dismiss the cookie notice, we record that in your browser’slocalStorage under the key vyana_cookie_notice — this is not a cookie and is not sent to our servers; it simply stops the notice from reappearing.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling thevyana_uid session cookie will sign you out and prevent the dashboard from working, since it is essential to authentication.
Changes
If we introduce new cookies in future (for example, optional analytics), we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent before setting them.
